There's not any chance of that as far as I can see: analysis from our kernel team back in April showed that the linux-libre kernel was simply broken. Rather than work with the rest of the community to improve the situation in general, the linux-libre developers simply removed a lot of useful code including the ability for drivers to load firmware at all. This is not useful work, as far as I'm concerned.

No, non credo che questo problema sia così grande come crede la gente. La pubblicità negativa su questo semplicemente mi mette in imbarazzo con le persone coinvolte (ndt: nel senso che al DPL dispiace per come loro si sentono).
Nel mondo del software libero, ciò che fa la differenza è la scrittura di un buon codice libero. È inutile imprecare su ciò che altri sviluppatori scelgono di fare o gli strumenti che scelgono di utilizzare. Se in futuro incontreremo qualche problema *reale* con Mono allora lo affronteremo.
No, I don't think there is the major issue here that some other people seem to believe in. The very negative campaigning about this simply makes me ashamed to connected with the people involved. In the Free Software world, the way to make a difference is to write good Free code. Bitching about what other developers choose to do or the tools they choose to use is not useful. If we do find any *real* problems with Mono in the future, then we'll deal with them then.
Il 29.07.2009 è stato annunciato che debian verrà "congelata" ogni due anni (ogni dicembre degli anni dispari); a suo parere, in caso ad esempio di debugging molto lungo, ci sarà meno tempo per la nuova release che andrà in freeze in un tempo relativamente più breve? Oppure, in caso di un debugging molto rapido, sarà la nuova testing a restare tale per quasi "troppo" tempo?
It has been announced on the 20.07.2009 that Debian will be freezed every two years (every december of odd years). In your opinion, for example if there's a long debugging time, do we have less time for the new release, that will be freeze on relatively less time? Otherwise, if there's a rapid debugging time, will be the new Testing testing for "too much" time?
